Overview

This project evaluates the projected impacts of climate change on territories governed by Indigenous Peoples (IP) and Local Communities (LC) across the Amazon basin. By combining downscaled climate projections with geospatial data on territorial boundaries, the research aims to quantify how temperature extremes, precipitation shifts, and drought frequency will affect these communities over the coming decades.

Content coming soon — additional details on study area, communities involved, and project timeline will be added here.

Research Questions

  • How do projected climate shifts vary across IP & LC territories in the Amazon?
  • Which communities face the greatest exposure to temperature and precipitation extremes?
  • How can climate projections inform adaptation strategies for vulnerable territories?
